‘2023 season sortie preparation’ Jeonbuk Team B completes coaching staff composition

This season, Jeonbuk coach Yoo Gyeong-ryeol, who led the team following coach Park Jin-seop, left the team after the season ended and appointed U18 Youngsaeng High School coach Ahn Dae-hyun to take the vacant position as team B coach.

Ahn Dae-hyun, coach of Team B, has been a leader for eight years in Jeonbuk, starting with U15 Geumsan Middle School coach in 2016, and was appointed U18 Youngsaeng High School coach in 2019, winning the 2019 Korea Football Association Cup, 2020 Presidential Geumbae, and 2021 National High Soccer League Wangjungwangjeon. As coaching staff to assist coach Ahn Dae-hyun, GK coach Chung Jeong-seon, who has been with coach Ahn Dae-hyun since the 2019 season, and Cho Seong-hwan, who had a retirement ceremony in Jeonju Castle last year, joined as team B coaches.

Jeonbuk also signed contracts with nine new players, including midfielder Kang Sang-yoon, who debuted in the K-League through a semi-professional contract last season.

Jeonbuk recruited DF Yu Ye-chan (Jeonju University), DF Yoo Soo-hwan (Dongguk University), and MF Min-hyeok (Yonsei University), all from Jeonbuk U18, and called up MF Kang Sang-yoon, MF Kim Rae-woo, FW Kim Chang-hoon, and FW Lee Kyu-dong from U18 Yeongsaeng High School. Afterwards, GK Park Bum-soo (Dongguk University) and MF Do Jae-kyung (Korea University) were recruited as free starters to reinforce various positions.

Coach Ahn Dae-hyun said, “I want to show a good performance in the B team following the U18,” and expressed his feelings of taking the new B team command, saying, “I will do my best to nurture young players who will be responsible for the future of Jeonbuk.”

Meanwhile, Jeonbuk Team B is scheduled to conduct field training in Beolgyo from the 26th to February 15th.
