“I will not forget” Turkiye Gangjin → 2nd division goalkeeper missing → eventually died

A young soccer player lost his life in an earthquake in Turkiye. He is 28 years old.

Turkey’s second division club Yeni Malatyaspor announced the death of goalkeeper Ahmet Ewif Urkaslan through the club’s official social media account on the 8th (local time). It is caused by an earthquake that struck Turkiye. 슬롯사이트

The club mourned, saying, “He lost his life in the earthquake,” and “We will never forget Urkaslan.”

On the 6th (local time), a 7.8 magnitude earthquake struck southern Turkey. To make matters worse, aftershocks occurred several times. “About 70 aftershocks have occurred in the surrounding area,” Vice President Puat Okthai Turkiye said.

As of the morning of the 8th, the death toll from the earthquake is estimated to be at least 7,826 including Turkiye (5,894) and Syria (1,932), which border southeastern Turkiye. 

The United States Geological Survey (USGS) predicts that the death toll from the quake could reach 10,000.

Urkaslan, who entered the pro through Bursaspor in the Turkish league in 2013, has been playing for Yeni Malatyaspor since 2021 after going through Osmanlispor and Umraniyespor. Unfortunately, he became the worst earthquake victim.

Christian Arts (31), a former Ghanaian national team member of Turkey’s Hatayspor, managed to save his life. He was rescued from being crushed by the rubble of a building. The Ghana Football Association announced on its social media account that “Arts, who was rescued, is in the hospital.”
