With a 10-point deduction confirmed, Juventus have taken a turn for the worst.
Juventus lost 1-4 to Empoli in the 36th round of the 2022-23 Italian Serie A at the Stadio Carlo Castellani in Empoli, Italy, at 3:45 a.m. KST on March 23. With the 10-point deduction, Juventus sits seventh in the league with 59 points, which puts a red flag on their chances of qualifying for the UEFA Champions League (UCL).
Juventus brought a 3-5-2 formation. Blahovic, Milik, Kostitsch, Rabiot, Locatelli, Miretti, Barbieri, Sandro, Bremer, and Gatti started, with Szczesny in goal. Empoli utilized a 4-2-3-1 formation. Juventus got the equalizer. In the 40th minute, Chiesa received a cross from the right side of the box and, after chest trapping, fired a low, quick shot that split Empoli’s goal. However, Piccoli’s wedge goal in stoppage time sealed a 4-1 victory for Empoli.
