Ahead of the 104th National Winter Sports Festival, which opens tomorrow, a preliminary short track race was held at the indoor ice rink at the Asan Gymnasium of Ulsan University of Science.

World-class athletes such as Olympic gold medalist Hwang Dae-heon, Kim A-rang, and Shim Suk-hee competed.

It has been 10 years since 2013 that the short track speed skating event was held in Ulsan.

Unlike last year, which was held without spectators due to the Corona 19 incident, spectators were allowed to enter this year’s Winter Games.

Many citizens visited the ice rink for a rare opportunity to directly watch the short track speed skating event, which was only seen on the relay screen. In Ulsan, Kim Tae-hyeong is the only male primary athlete to compete in the 1000m and 1500m, respectively. The short track competition at the Winter Sports Festival will continue until the 19th. This is KBS News Top Page.
