The top 3 genesis points of the Korea Professional Golf (KPGA) Korean Tour this year will be seeded for the DP World Tour (formerly the European Professional Golf Tour) next year.
The Korea Professional Golf Association (Chairman Koo Ja-cheol) announced on the 2nd that it had signed a strategic business agreement with the DP World Tour.
In this agreement, the DP World Tour decided to give the 16th category seed to the KPGA Korean Tour genesis point first place player, and the 17th category seed to the other top two players.
The 16th category seed on the DP World Tour can compete in most matches except for the Rolex Series, and the 17th category seed can participate in slightly fewer competitions than the 16th seed.
The DP World Tour, which had previously seeded the top player in Genesis points, has increased the number of participants to three this time.ㅋㅋㅋ벳
It was also decided to give the top players in Genesis points a preferential qualification to go directly to the final game and the second game of the DP World Tour Q School.
This season, direct tickets will be given to 1 person in the final match and 3 people in the second match, and next year, it will be increased to 3 people in the final match and 6 people in the second match.
In addition, the DP World Tour and the KPGA Korean Tour decided to hold a co-sponsored tournament in Korea once a year by 2025.
This means that the same event as the Korea Championship, which was jointly organized by the DP World Tour and the KPGA Korean Tour, will be held at Jack Nicklaus Golf Club in Incheon for four days from the 27th of last month.
