Emerson Palmieri has won all three competitions organized by the European Football Association (UEFA).
West Ham United defeated Fiorentina 2-1 on penalties in the UEFA Europa Conference League (UECL) final of the 2022-23 season at 4 a.m. ET on Aug. 8 at the Eden Arena in Prague, Czech Republic. It was West Ham’s first European title in 58 years.
The match was intense. The first shot of the game came from West Ham. Less than a minute into the match, Michail Antonio opened the scoring with a shot from the top of the box. Fiorentina responded with a goal from Giacomo Bonaventura in the eighth minute of the first half. The game remained close throughout the first half, but the score remained 0-0 at halftime.
In the second half, the goal finally came. In the 12th minute, Jerrod Bowen controlled the ball in the box, but the ball hit Cristiano Biraghi in the hand and a penalty kick was awarded. Said Benramar stepped up to take the spot kick and calmly converted to give West Ham the lead. Fiorentina took the reins of the attack and soon equalized. In the 21st minute, Bonaventura picked up the ball in the box and rattled the net with his shot.
The game was settled in the closing stages of the second half, when Bowen found himself one-on-one with the keeper in the 44th minute and calmly fired a shot that found the back of the net. The Hammers won the tournament thanks to Bowen’s dramatic finish. It’s been 58 years since the Hammers won a European trophy, since the 1964-65 UEFA Cup Winners’ Cup, and 42 years since they won the English Championship (Second Division) in 1980-81.먹튀검증
With this victory, a player has won the UEFA Champions League (UCL), UEFA Europa League (UEL), and UECL, all three competitions organized by UEFA. Emerson. While playing for Chelsea, Emerson lifted the UEL trophy in 2019, then two years later he won the UCL, and now, two years later, he’s back at the top of the UECL.
The local buzz is whether Emerson will get the UECL trophy as a tattoo. Emerson has both the UEL and Euro 2020 trophies inked on his right calf, and while there doesn’t seem to be much room for a new trophy, it would be a shame to leave the UECL trophy out.
