Heo threw to first base, but the first baseman couldn’t catch it and the ball went behind him. Choi Hyung-woo, the runner at third, is safe.
Lee Woo-sung watched the ball drop and tried to advance, but as soon as he rounded the first base, he collided with first base umpire Na Kwang-nam.
The force of the collision sent Na and Lee to the ground. According to the rules, colliding with an umpire does not count as interference. Doosan immediately tagged Lee Woo-sung and he was called out.
This left the bases loaded, and Hwang Dae-in was tagged out on a catcher’s strike to end the inning.
